CNC operators

Job Description:

Prepare and calibrate CNC machines
selecting the correct tooling, and securing raw materials
Start and monitor production runs. Intervene to adjust offsets, feed rates, or speeds to maintain accuracy
Use precision instruments o inspect parts against blueprints
Perform routine cleaning and lubrication; replace worn inserts or dull tools to prevent machine downtime
Maintain production logs, record output quantities, and report any mechanical malfunctions or material defects
Strictly adhere to PPE protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Candidate Requirements:

Familiarity with G-code and M-code to make minor edits or troubleshoot program errors
Understanding of different materials (steel, aluminum, plastic) and the specific cutting tools/inserts required for each
Critical for detecting minute defects that could lead to costly scrap
Ability to stand for 8–12 hour shifts and lift materials typically weighing up to 50 lbs
